After taking top honors in the MovieNation Film Festival in Las Vegas, bringing home trophies for Best Short Film, Best Lead Actress (Debra Hopkins), Best Supporting Actress (Danielle Fazio) and Best Editing, Passing Darkness went on to become an Official Selection in a dozen more festivals, including: The Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival, California Independent Film Festival, ION International Film Festival, Valley Film Festival, Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films Market, Shockerfest International Film Festival, Mumbai International FICTS Festival and the Spiritual Film Festival in India, Dragoncon Independent Short Film Festival, and the Action On Film Festival, where Debra won again for Female Action Performer of the Year!

Our Los Angeles Premier Screening at ION Fest was a huge success, nearly filling the James Bridges Theatre on the UCLA campus to an overwhelmingly supportive audience. We have now developed a dramatic television series based on the short, the pilot script of which Mr. Mader just completed writing and is now being read by high-level industry execs.
