In designing the look of PASSING DARKNESS, director Mader hired talented storyboard artist Don Anderson to illustrate every shot in the film. The boards were used on-set as a visual reference during shooting, helped in the development of daily shot lists and scheduling, and were an indispensible tool in keeping everyone "on the same page" during the pressure cooker of production.
