MADERFILM PRODUCTIONS is a motion picture development and production company founded by award-winning filmmaker Kenneth Mader to produce high-quality, entertaining commercial feature films and television programs with superior production values that also ‘have something to say’ regardless of genre. It also seeks to gain recognition for its high level of commitment to writing and filmmaking excellence, and to bring profitable returns to its investors and equity partners.

Maderfilm is currently developing and packaging a slate of motion pictures, one of which recently won a Best Feature Screenplay Award at the Action On Film International Film Festival Written Word Awards and has an Academy Award-Winning actress interested in the lead role. It is also partnered on developing a big-budget Transmedia Action Franchise with International Martial Arts Gold Medalist and rising action star Spitfire Brown, and will soon be in pre-production on its next feature film DISPLACEMENT starring Chelsey Crisp (CSI: Miami, NCIS) and major name actors to be announced.

Maderfilm recently released its multi-award-winning short film PASSING DARKNESS featuring NYPD Blue’s Andrea Thompson and Stargate SG-1’s Don S. Davis. An Official Selection in a dozen International Film Festivals and Winner of the Las Vegas Movienation Fest, it is also generating a great deal of industry buzz and has been developed into a new dramatic television series.

The company’s debut feature CARNIVORE was released by Fox Home Entertainment, premiered on the SyFy Channel and has become a home video cult hit, with tens of thousands of DVD units sold, a run on pay-per-view (where it enjoyed a healthy 52% buy rate) and numerous territories licensed internationally including Germany.

Mr. Mader has been involved in the film industry for many years, having begun his career in his native Chicago. He has since become an award-winning Writer-Director and Cameraman-Editor who has cut and/or directed numerous projects, from commercials and award-winning short films to music videos and a successful feature. Creator of the Action On Film International Film Festival Del Weston says, “Ken Mader understands film. His visuals and sound design are spot on. His camera work is perfect. We love Ken’s work!”

He recently shadowed directors John Gallagher and Edward Allen Bernero on episodes of Criminal Minds as well as Cold Case director-producer Roxann Dawson and Mark Rosman on the studio features A CINDERELLA STORY and THE PERFECT MAN. He directed and edited a music video for the independent Dark Star Records label which hit the Top-10 on the national CVC rock charts, and BLIND LUCK, a short film he directed for producer Jody Arensberg starring Michael Sorvino (Human Trafficking) had its world premiere at the 9th Annual Method Fest Independent Film Festival and has been chosen as an Official Selection in numerous International Film Festivals to date.

A effective producer as well, he is a tireless creative force with an intense passion for film and the industry that shows dramatically in his work.
