MADERFILM PRODUCTIONS is a motion picture production company founded by award-winning filmmaker Kenneth Mader to produce high-quality commercial feature films and television programs and to gain recognition for its high level of commitment to filmmaking excellence, Hollywood-level production values regardless of budget, and profitable returns to its investors and equity partners.

Maderfilm is currently involved in the promotion and release of Passing Darkness, a 35mm short film that made its worldwide debut in festivals last year to rave reviews and multiple awards. It has also generated terrific buzz within industry circles, helping director Mader receive approvals at the executive level of major television netowrks and studios. Passing Darkness is also being developed as both a feature and dramatic series, with the feature screenplay nearly complete.

Another short film, Blind Luck, a romantic comedy starring Michael Sorvino, was recently completed and has been honored as an Official Selection in the 2007 Method Fest Film Festival where it will enjoy its World Premiere Screening on April 1st in Calabasas, CA.

On the heels of all this short film success the company has begun packaging and pre-production on it's next feature film Deep Focus, a supernatural thriller written by Mr. Mader, with principal photography slated to begin this fall or early '08.

It has also teamed with producers Julie Caitlin Brown and Marc Scott Zicree on an anthology film tentatively titled Bridge of Souls, featuring the brilliant John Rhys-Davies, Stargate SG-1's Michael Shanks and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumn Armin Shimerman. The 'wraparound' portion of the script is currently in development, with Emmy-Award winning writer Michael Reaves penning the new draft.

Armin Shimerman is also attached to the feature Zali's Crush along with The Wonder Years' Dan Lauria, co-written by Mr. Mader and currently seeking financing.

Its debut feature Carnivore continues to enjoy much success in its release, having recently premiered on the Sci Fi Channel. This after having been picked up by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment for DVD release, with up to 12 copies on the shelves of Hollywood Video stores nationwide, deals with TVN and iN Demand pay-per-view services, where it acheived a 52% buy rate, and international sales to territories such as Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and The Arabian Gulf. Carnivore also received a Selection Committee Commendation in the independent feature category at the 11th International Festival of Fantastic Films in Manchester, England, a Merit Award in the B-Movie Film Festival, and won a Crystal Award of Excellence for editing and an Award of Distinction for directing in the 5th Annual Communicator Awards. The sequel, Carnivores, actually more of a big-budget "re-imagining" of the franchise, is currently in development.

Maderfilm is also in the ongoing process of establishing strategic alliances with other producers and production/distribution companies to expand its foray into feature film production via a variety of co-production deals, and is currently seeking equity partners to enhance its capitalization and generate development funds to continue the packaging process on its current project slate.

Maderfilm also offers digital production and post services through its PERFECTREEL PRODUCTIONS division, specializing in demo reels and short films for actors and directors. For more detailed information please e-mail us or call 818.341.8474.
